Every other year, members of the Equal Justice Alliance and staff of the North Carolina Equal Access to Justice Commission host the North Carolina Legal Services Conference, an event filled with dynamic, current, and meaningful programming for attendees. The conference is not merely a continuing education program for legal aid staff and supporters. It is an opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues across the state, collaborate on strategies to best represent low-income clients, and find encouragement and support from within the community of fellow advocates.

The 2020 Legal Services Conference saw 400 registrants come together for two afternoons of virtual programming, including eighteen timely CLE sessions dedicated to issues unique to legal aid attorneys. The Conference also hosted plenary addresses, recognition for Pillars of Justice Award recipients, and a North Carolina Supreme Court Candidate Forum.
